When you’re done watching our documentary, you might find yourself also being interested in watching the actual White House Correspondents’s Dinner.
Our film takes you behind the scenes of both the dinner and the week long roster of parties that surround it. That stuff, you won’t find on television, but what you will find on television this spring is the live broadcast on C-SPAN of the actual dinner itself, which takes place on April 25, 2015.
This year’s comedian is “Saturday Night Live”’s Cecily Strong, the fourth woman in the dinner’s history to serve as entertainer.
In a release announcing the selection of Strong, the White House Correspondents Association’s President Christi Parsons said that Strong’s “political humor is sly and edgy, and it comes with a Chicago accent.”
“Cecily grew up in suburban Oak Park, Ill. and got her start in Chicago’s comedy scene with stints at iO and Second City.”
We’re of course looking forward to this years Nerd Prom and will be sure to post any pics to our Instagram where you can already find some great stills from the film and other goodies. Follow us on Instagram./p>
